Windposts

Our client: A well known, National Brickwork Contractor.
Details: B.I.G. manufactured & delivered to site a large quantity of Windposts similar to the one shown.
The Windposts varied in size, the largest being fabricated from 150mm square x 16mm thick box section. These posts were over 7.6 metres in height, each weighing in at a hefty 530 kg.
The top sections differed according to the different soffit types and levels.
Half the order was for a painted finish and half for galvanised. The urgency was for the painted posts. We received the order on the 17th December and delivered 20 posts on the 23rd. December. B.I.G. supplied the balance straight after the Christmas break.
The challenge here was not only the timescale restrictions, but also the various fixing requirements. Anchors were needed in solid concrete, hollow concrete and steel. Because of our many years experience in fixings, we were able to supply the complete package.
